Caution: Holidays Ahead!

Okay, so what's the first thing that pops in your line of vision when you hear "the holidays are around the bend"?

You cringe anticipating the inevitable crash when the in-laws (or in-laws-to-be) appear in the lane beside you. You know how hard it is for "Mother" to stay in her lane on the tight curves just ahead. And, "Dad" can be hard to read. The chaos has set in before get your pace set. Now what?

Game On...

Fall in New England means soccer, football, biking, car racing, hiking, bonfires, beer and checking out the autumn hues. Or, at least it used to in the days of BW,BK (a.k.a. - Before Wife, Before Kids ). You catch my drift. All the fun things you and your buddies used to do before she "made you" sell the motorcycle and beat-up old Ford pickup your Dad gave you. Who said that just because you Tied the Knot or Picked up the Ball & Chain that you had to stop living?

The "Big Y"

Welcome to my blog...The 30 Second Pit Stop. I hope that you'll find these postings a place to slow down wherever you are on your life's racetrack and as you refuel, perhaps something here will stimulate you and rev your engines to become motivated to drive ahead.

Ideally, it is a place to help smooth the bumpy roads and avoiding the potholes by offering thoughts, suggestions you can engage to keep your motor running.

Perhaps there will be a comment which will encourage you to jump in your "soapbox" car and lay down your own. If so, then I've reached the finish line -- doesn't mean that I was first, but at least I made it.

So, what sort of topics are expected? Pretty much anything related to the race -- life. Relationships and thoughts on fixing them, money and how it affects us, health care and the impact of government choices on you and I, comments on mainstream news topics, etc. How to put fun back in life while staying in the race. Things like that!

Here's your ticket to ride -- come on, jump in and see where the roads takes us!
